That's how I would describe this past week for me personally and for the base. Indeed, Monday the new schools will start and therefor a whole new group of students is arriving. All schools merge, there should be about 130 of them.
And for my part the transition was between holiday / Switzerland and accounting / Australia. Transition which happened well, even if the mornings were a little difficult (my body had the feeling of rising at midnight :-)). I have the impression that it is much more than a week that I'm here.

Tuesday night I had my birthday table (the people of the base really liked the little chocolate (thank you Pa and Ma!)). So I have invited 7 friends to my table. Everyone sang our traditional birthday song. And after eating the cake, some came to see the documentary "More than chocolate and cheese" (it's worth it to see).
Friday I also had to transit from right to left on the road, going to the bank. But by mowing the lawn, it does not change :-)

Thank you very much Joel's parents for the chocolate! We were all so blessed by this delicious Swiss treat. I've been to Switzerland and have since missed your amazing quality chocolate. By the way, you raised a great son. We all like and respect him over here.
ReplyDeleteFrom a Canadian girl, Louise! :) oh, and my friends Simon and Sam say thank you as well.
